The second brick in a phrase that reads, "On this spot, in 1942, Tony played his first game of craps. He was five years old." This is a freshly stamped brick, just popped out of the wooden mold.

Portland Brick is a collaborative public art project taking place in the India Street neighborhood of Portland, Maine. My collaborator, Elise Pepple, has collected past, present, and future memories from the neighborhood and I am drawing, stamping and fabricating bricks made from clay from my land in Portland.
